E.M.S. Pump automation KM33
The pump automation is a combination of protective motor contactor and level monitor. It has two primary purposes. To prevent the dry running of submerged pumps in wells with very low in-flow, and to regulate levels in open wells, ponds and vessels of different types. It can, for example, be used for the automatic control of vessel filling. When the level monitor is used as dry running protection or for emptying vessels, the pump stops when the water level reaches the lower electrode. It restarts when the water level reaches the upper electrode. When the level monitor is used for filling, the pump starts when the water level reaches the lower electrode and stops when it reaches the upper electrode.
